nachtljocht is a literary magazine for fiction. The name is Frisian for "night light". The small one you leave on, the one you read by when you can't sleep.
We're building something here. A home for good writing with no restrictions on genre, form, or content. The strange, the funny, the filthy, the quiet. If it's well-made, we want to see it.
The goal is digital, but also print; something you can hold, dog-ear, and leave on your nightstand.
Submissions open now, Issue 1 is planned for 1 October, 2026.
